These terms apply when you use the GrubRide Grub, GrubRide Ride and GrubRide Driver apps, the GrubRide store tools and grubride.gy. By creating an account or using GrubRide, you agree to them. GrubRide is based in Linden, Guyana.

1. What GrubRide does

GrubRide connects people in Linden with local restaurants and stores (Grub), with drivers for rides (Ride), and connects drivers with delivery and ride requests (Driver). Restaurants and stores prepare the food and products they sell. Drivers are independent and choose which requests to accept.

GrubRide currently serves the Linden area only. Some features need your precise location to work.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, or have permission from a parent or guardian to use Grub and Ride.
• Give accurate details and keep them up to date, including a clear profile photo where the app asks for one.
• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• You can delete your account at any time. See Delete your account.

3. Orders and rides

• When you place an order or request a ride, the app shows the price before you confirm. Times shown in the app are estimates.
• For food and store orders, the restaurant or store is responsible for what it prepares and sells, including ingredients, allergens and quality. Check the item details, and ask the store if you have an allergy.
• Give a correct delivery or pickup address and be ready when your driver arrives.
• Some items, such as age-restricted products, may need ID at delivery. The driver can refuse to hand them over without it.

4. Prices and paying

• Prices are in Guyana dollars (GYD) and include the delivery fee or fare shown before you confirm.
• You pay using a payment method available in the app. MMG, card and bank transfer are being switched on as each app launches.
• If something goes wrong with an order or ride, tell us through Help and we’ll look into it. Refunds go back to the way you paid.

5. Cancelling

• You can cancel an order until the store starts preparing it, and a ride until the trip starts. The app shows when cancelling is still possible.
• Drivers and stores can also cancel, for example if an item is sold out or the address can’t be reached. We will tell you if that happens.

6. Respect and safety

Treat drivers, store staff, customers and our team with respect. We may limit or close accounts for:

• violence, threats, harassment or discrimination
• fraud, false bookings, misuse of payments or of someone else’s account
• carrying or ordering anything illegal
• damage to a driver’s vehicle (you may be asked to cover cleaning or repairs)

Customers and drivers rate each other after each job. Ratings help keep GrubRide safe and fair.

In an emergency, call the police on 911, an ambulance on 913 or the fire service on 912.

7. Drivers

• Drivers must be approved by GrubRide before going online, and must keep their licence, insurance, registration, certificate of fitness, police clearance and vehicle inspection current.
• Drivers follow the law and the rules of the road, and never use a phone in a way that is unsafe while driving.
• Earnings are shown in the Driver app for each job. How and when drivers are paid, and GrubRide’s share, are explained in the Driver app and during approval.

8. Restaurants and stores

Restaurants and stores agree separate partner terms with GrubRide. They keep their menus, prices, opening hours and availability correct in the GrubRide store panel, and prepare orders safely and on time.

9. Responsibility

We work to keep GrubRide running smoothly, but the apps may sometimes be unavailable or make mistakes. As far as the law allows, GrubRide is not responsible for indirect losses, and our responsibility for any one order or ride is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the laws of Guyana.

10. Changes and ending

We may update these terms as GrubRide grows. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. You can stop using GrubRide and delete your account at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of Guyana.
